I believe there may be nothing on this earth, outside of the Word itself that has the ability to comfort a distressed soul as effectively as a well- written poem. Within its delicately composed lines lies immense power to bring peace and solace to the most shipwrecked heart, while offering a sense of cheer and relief to one caught in the punishing grip of grief. The power to breathe fresh life into the most hopeless of situations in much the same way as an unexpected breeze on a mid-summer's day. Whether it is the loss of a loved one or the disappointment of a season gone awry, a few lines can restore the rhythmic beating of the most distraught heart.
