Publisher Marketing: "When the baby son of a physically mutated eighties villain goes missing from protective care, the father goes on a rampage to try and find him. In his way stand a Child Protection Officer following her heart above her duty, a violent anti-hero group desperate for media attention, a seemingly benevolent hero-worshipping cult and Martin and Hayley struggling to work out who they can trust." KILLING GODS is a British-based superhero thriller. In a world much like our own, people born with extraordinary powers are called 'heroes'. Since the start of the 20th century they have enjoyed a revered place in society. However in Britain today, new laws forbid the use of powers in public and force those with abilities to register or face prosecution. As a result, many of those who were in superhero teams filtered back into society. Today, Martin Molloy, or "Roadblock" as he used to be known, secretly uses his abilities to fight crime while reluctantly training up Hayley, a young teleporter to whom he owes his life. He had planned on a quiet retirement, but when he receives a request for help from an old enemy, he is further torn between following the letter of the law and doing the right thing. ALSO IN THIS SERIES: - POWERLESS (The 'Powerless' Superhero Novel Series Book 1) Contributor Bio:  Cooper, Tony On the 27th June 1960 Tony Cooper died, went to heaven and by God's grace was brought back down to earth and into his body. This should have been enough to convince anyone to become "religious," to become a "Christian." Regrettably the last thing Tony Cooper EVER wanted to be, was a Christian. In the Summer of 1987 Tony cried out to God, "Why me, why am I here if I cannot father a child, what is the point of my being"? It was a cry just like any other from a none Christian, but God answered. From that pivotal moment, miraculous event upon miraculous event would happen in different countries throughout the world, all with the purpose of helping Tony to become a Christian. Tony fought and fought against God because he enjoyed parts of his sinful nature, and equally as important, he never wanted to become a "Sunday only hypocritical Christian." In 1999 Tony could fight no more, he didn't want to. He had witnessed again and again God calling him and so he gave himself to God. He simply said, "God here I am, I cannot fight You anymore, I offer myself to You to do with as you wish." In 2003 via a miraculous series of events, Tony gave himself to Jesus and invited Jesus to become his Lord and Savior. In 2004 God spoke to Tony and told him everything that would happen to him, God gave him the vision complete. It was simply impossible for God's vision to be completed, but God is a God of the impossible! In 2005 the Holy Spirit appeared before Tony and from that moment God started to speak to Tony the words which are written in this book, PURE TRUTH from GOD.
