This is for anyone who may benefit from the words of hope this book offers when dealing with a family member or friend battling addictions. "When a Band-Aid is not Enough" is written from my heart. As I recorded the events and heartaches of dealing with my sons' addictions, I was strengthened and reinforced by my career as a social worker in which I have been blessed serving individuals with developmental disabilities. My whole life, both personally and professionally, has been dedicated to helping others...especially my sons, and through this journey, I have learned the difference between helping and enabling. There is always hope. "When a Band-Aid Is Not Enough" is my first book.
