In the city of Detroit another building is burning, only to be another knot in a string of suspicious fires. Dalton James a seasoned Fire Investigator, is starting to put the pieces together and believes this to be the work of a professional arsonist. Just a few more clues and he can put investigation to rest. However, the arsonist has a different plan for Dalton and sets a trap, that may put an end to Dalton and his investigation once and for all. Dalton very shaken after this brush with death, retires and moves to a place far away from the fires and haunting memories of the past. This new life will bring some peace but not before an eerie story from a local mystery and legend forces him back. This new found investigation begins with Dalton and his new partner Gus a superstitious old logger, trying solve this local ghost story, only to meet Dalton's own ghost from the past.
