Barbara Lynn was born in Texas in 1942 an R&B guitarist and singer songwriter who was influenced by BB King, Jimmy Reed and Elvis Presley.

She topped the R&B and the US Billboard charts in 1962 and then began to build her a profile to a mainstream audience.

Still relevant and active today, she has been sampled by Lil Wayne and Moby with 'I'm a Good Woman', The Beastie Boys 'Poor Old Trashman'.

This is the first vinyl compilation in 40 years for this hero of the soul scene, presented on 180 g heavyweight classic black vinyl with printed inner sleeve.
