Releases by Eurythmics

With immortal hits like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", "Here Comes the Rain Again" and "There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)", Eurythmics left a significant mark on the 1980s music scene and became one of the decade's most iconic pop duos. The British group was formed in 1980 by singer Annie Lennox and multi-instrumentalist and producer Dave Stewart, who together created a very special musical universe where synthpop, new wave, soul and rock melted together.

Eurythmics stood out from the many synth-pop acts of their time with their experimental productions, strong melodies, and not least Annie Lennox's characteristic, powerful vocals and androgynous style. Dave Stewart's inventive approach to songwriting and production gave the duo a constant musical curiosity, which meant they never let themselves be limited by one specific genre. From cool, electronic soundscapes to grand pop ballads and raw rock tracks, Eurythmics managed to reinvent themselves without losing their unmistakable signature style.

The big international breakthrough came with the 1983 album Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), whose title track became a global hit and reached number one on the American Billboard Hot 100. This was followed by an impressive string of successful albums, including Touch (1983), Be Yourself Tonight (1985), and Revenge (1986), which cemented the duo's status as international superstars. Throughout their career, Eurythmics have sold over 75 million records worldwide and received numerous prestigious awards, including a Grammy and several BRIT Awards. In 2022, the duo was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in recognition of their enormous significance to modern pop music.
