This credit card-style guide shows how to respond to safeguarding concerns in the Church of England. It is designed to be given to leaders, role holders and volunteers, including clergy, readers, licensed ministers, church wardens, officers, children and youth leaders, musicians, administrators and safeguarding officers.

It sets out the four key steps in responding to safeguarding concerns:

* Recognise the signs;
* Respond sensitively and listen;
* Record what you have been told accurately;
* Report immediately to the appropriate authorities.

The reverse side contains space to record local safeguarding contact details, including out of hours and local authority contacts.
