Prayer Bell Sketch is a hauntingly beautiful study in weight and measure, resonance and reverberation composed by Oliver Knussen. Lasting 6-minutes, it recollects and rearranges a few clear, bell-like harmonies into an enchanting, deeply personal, statement. It was commissioned by Ms. Masako Okamura and Mr. Motoyuki Nakagawa in memory of Toru Takemitsu.
