Whispering Wind

This is an exciting, romantic, and emotionally-charged tale of a Native American teenage girl and the two adults who are at odds on how to shape her destiny. She has a hard life, deserted by her white mother and living on a poverty-stricken reservation. A half-breed, she is despised by the full bloods, loathed by those outside the native American community. Her love of gliding upon the winter's frozen surface of Spirit Lake seems her only refuge from despair. It is tragedy that provides her with an unforeseen opportunity. An Olympic hopeful for the U. S. Ladies' Figure Skating team is killed in a plane crash. Coach Paul Wisner, grief stricken, retires. Fate, however, brings him face to face wit Whispering Wind. Can she compete at the lever of skating Paul coaches? He sees a champion, but will Whispering Wind's aunt Monica prevent her from accomplishing her dreams? Monica trusts no white man especially Paul.
