Fatal Ambition
Bill York
Disciplined as a youth by his dedicated father to eventually become President of the United States, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Scott Kersgard, has had a meteoric rise through the political strata. As one of the most powerful men in Washington, Scott has his eyes set on the Presidency. He is driven by an inordinate hunger for power, but is also aware that the present administration is ineffectual in the area of foreign affairs which is exposing the United States to the probability of war with Russia and China. Recalling skeletons from his past, the Speaker is sure that he will never be elected. He conceives a plot to circumvent the line of succession. A story about rural Georgia, deceit, power, and political manipulation.
