Because the research project that results in the discovery of the virus is government funded, the military believe they have the right to it, regardless of what the virus would mean for humanity; the Corsican Brotherhood wants to steal it for profit-thus begins a battle of wit, intrigue, and violence in which Cody becomes an innocent pawn.
