But with strong parenting and encompassing love, he also learned to cherish and celebrate each day of his life. Having lived in one of the most progressive eras in history his tale goes from the days of the horse and buggy to the present in detailing the changes that have affected the industry he came to love, the undertaking business and the world in which he lives. Having glimpsed portions of the future at the New York World's Fair in 1939, he was still surprised by the advances in technology that took place in his lifetime.
