Dear Pudge, is a true account of a young woman expanding her horizons, her intellect and her self-awareness through the joys of foreign study and travel and the sorrows of separation. All done with the encouragement of her fiance who remained stateside working on a doctorate in drama and comparative literature. It could be any woman's life-any woman's dream, but it happens to be her own unique story told by letters written during her stay in Europe from October 1958 to June 1959 and that's a long time ago. However, the letters are still very timely as well as historic and nostalgic. Plus they tell a remarkable tale of love and determination.
