A comical, reality based novel about an altruistic woman who opts to be a bail bonds agent in order to impose her ideals of life on the dregs of society. Before Dale Davis is able to rehabilitate her first criminal client she learns that she has inadvertantly become one herself on account of her employers connection to the mob. Dale's struggle with her initial naive goals and her eventual fight to be free from the mob is a comical sketch written by the woman who actually lived through it.
