While on vacation in northern New Mexico, Rob discovers an alien space ship that had been entombed in a mountain cavern for centuries. They soon exit the cavern together and, although one is a machine and one is human, their future becomes inexorably intertwined, both mentally and spiritually. The ship, seeking wisdom is given the name Solomon by Rob, and together with the help of an alien woman Torena, discover a fantastic way to voyage through time. Rob becomes obsessed with returning to his boyhood days as Torena becomes his mentor in his quest.
