Under Bridge
Immanuel James
Abandoned by his divorced parents in a rusty village in Eastern Nigeria, Victor Ekwueme migrates to Lagos, where he faces rejection, poverty, and work slavery. His misery is worsened by his hatred of convention in a society wired with a herd mentality. Roused by the challenges of existence in a hostile world, he begins to seek universal meaning to life - whether there is a God, a true religion, a hereafter, etc. But he realizes that to make proper sense of the world, he has first, to find himself. With little education, he searches for himself within a complex of love, lust, disappointment, superstition, philosophy, and ambition.
