Jason has decided to stay on Earth and complete his college education while sending the Cornish Talisman to Evenset to confront the council. But, even with the best of intentions, his parting with Arial turned out to be harder then he had expected. On his return to college, Jared contacts him through one of his inventions disguised as a portable typewriter. He is at odds with his step father and enlists Jason's friendship. Things become tense as Garlo's men start to close in and they both become entrapped in a web of conspiracies. As things unfold he gets to meet Holly's father, the elusive Peter Thatcher, while facing a nemesis from his past; one that won't hesitate in exacting vengeance upon Jason for stealing the Cornish Talisman. As his senior year winds to a close Jason learns that the Cornish Talisman is on its way back. Then Jason and Holly are kidnapped by Garlo's men while Jared ends up trapped in a burning building. How will Jason ever manage to get it all under control?
