One cold winter morning, the sudden entrance of a Chinese boy brandishing a knife rudely interrupts Father Martin s ceremony. The boy, Tang, is filthy and confused. As Josie Welford tricks him into releasing the weapon, they all realize that they face another problem - the impossible language barrier.
