Author Ellen Javernick observed over the years that birds are common in Christian art and especially capture the imagination of young people. Her own five children often pointed out birds in the church's stained glass windows. Why are they there and what do they mean? On Eagles' Wings teaches about birds in spiritual terms by giving simple explanations of their meaning in the Bible or in legends that teach spiritual truth.
