Evelyn Francis Capel: A Celebration is a collection of moving tributes to the inspirational work of a great woman. Born in 1911, Rev. Capel devoted more than 50 years of her life to the Christian Community (a movement for religious renewal).
As the first British woman priest of the movement, she worked intensely for its development around the world. She is much-loved for her numerous books, her lively lectures and workshops, and her dedicated work as a priest and counsellor.
This volume--which features over one hundred contributions from around the world--includes accounts relating to war and post-war years, pioneering international work, the writing and publishing of books, the founding of the center at Temple Lodge--as well as recollections from her fellow students, and a section of the Sacraments. Also included are personal tributes and testimonies to Evelyn's help and guidance. With photographs.
Evelyn Capel is now retired and lives in Kent, UK.
