Australian Literature: A Snapshot in 10 Short Stories presents a varied collection of stories by Australian authors. The book features stories by (in alphabetical order) Kerry Brown, JJ Cooper, Belinda Dorio, Jo Hart, Rebecca James, Fleur McDonald, Michael Pryor, Sonali Rajanayagam, Sam Stephens and Michael White, and is edited by Steve Rossiter, Editor of The Australian Literature Review (www.auslit.net). The collection contains short stories spanning various genres; from young adult fantasy to crime mystery, family drama, coming of age, thriller and horror. The ten authors are spread across Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland; from large cities, small towns and rural areas. At the time of publication, six of the authors have had books released by major publishers and four are emerging authors.
