In order to teach children about dinosaurs, you need to start by learning all about the most popular paleo animals of the Mesozoic era. Kids should learn about Ankylosaurus, a carnivore that lived about hundred million years ago. Ankylosaurus used its face and mouth for more than just eating. It looked like a crocodile, but had a neck much like that of a large fish. It also had strong claws, which would allow it to grasp trees and pull them down.
