The modern man's concept of spirituality is driven by the act of praying to mitigate his fear of a situation. He prays because of fear about something and he wants God to deal with that situation. The mind generates waves of fear and anxiety of negative situations, humans can't handle; so they seek help of God to solve them. So praying gets to be a problem solver exercise rather than being curious about knowing the mysteries of the universe as to what God is all about!!
