The Revolutionary War Diary of Major William Croghan

A member of the 1st Virginia Regiment, Major William Croghan belonged to this group who were, on account of the rivers being so solidly frozen that ships could not move, obliged to march the 800 miles from the Jerseys to Sullivan's Island in South Carolina's Charleston Harbor.
