Pedro de Cieza de Leon
The publications of the Hakluyt Society (founded in 1846) made available edited (and sometimes translated) early accounts of exploration. Pedro de Cierza de León (c.1520–1554) travelled extensively in Peru between 1548 and 1554. This book is the first of two Hakluyt volumes containing an English translation of his observations.
