Catharine Macaulay
Historian and feminist Catharine Macaulay (1731–91) was a political activist in favour of parliamentary reform. She supported the French Revolution as a move towards equality and liberty. This political pamphlet, first published in 1790, is a passionate polemic against Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France.
