Dane, young mage and natural Healer chuckled as he passed the wayside oaken shrine and remembered the ancient rhyme. He blew an irreverent kiss to the small naked statue of the goddess, before continuing on to the Old Field. She was Life, blessed life, and a little love never went amiss.

What he did not know was that the Lady had plans for him, plans that would test his courage and his fortitude, and send him on a hazardous journey into an unknown future.

The Adammites had already broken his world when they took his small island and were now invading the mainland of Mer'edrynn, bringing their Death God with them. 'Tis long since the Old Gods ruled, and they were terrible days. Now those days are returning, and the Elder Races are in mortal peril, hated as they are by the Adammite cult.
