Manu Pai, a Software Engineer, becomes grief-stricken after his father is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He along with his mother and his uncle decides to fulfill his father's last wish of seeing Manu getting married to a decent girl.

Manu sees a girl, Pallavi Dixit, and gets attracted by her beauty and charm. But Pallavi is not in a hurry to get married so soon which becomes an obstacle for Manu. He decides to please Pallavi so that she can agree to early marriage. He helps her by finding a new job at his friend's school and meets her regularly to pursue his interest in her.

But Pallavi's maternal uncle also forces Pallavi's mother to arrange his marriage with her. Her close friend and schoolmate, Krishna also shows interest in her, but they both realize that their elders will not consent to their union because they belong to different castes.
