She does not avoid the sing song rhythms of rhyme, but employs it as a jumping off place into human wilderness. Her entire life is grist for the mill. While not composing, Mrs. B. tends a splendid garden on the Connecticut estuary. If she is not weaving, she is combing and carding the curly wool from three Australian sheep.
