Renascence, Second April, and a Few Figs from Thistles: Early Works of Edna St. Vincent Millay (Kennebec Large Print Perennial Favorites Collection)
Edna St. Vincent Millay
Born in Maine in 1892 and raised by a divorced mother who recognized and encouraged her talents, Edna St. Vincent Millay attended Vassar under the sponsorship of a benefactor who had read her poem Renascence. Graduating in 1917, Millay moved to New York's Greenwich Village, published Renascence and Other Poems, and took her place in the avant garde and radical literary set of the day. This volume includes her first three published verse collections.
