Shortly after the Communist Party fell, some of it'sleaders had no place to turn. The fall of Communism, caused economic reform in allof the East European countries.¿Unemployment went up, lack of goods caused a hard-ship, and many timesthe number of new business' cropped up.¿Strikes, labor unrest, higher wages, more people requiring greatercontrol of the government:¿ All of thesefactors placed a heavy burden on the already faltering economy of EasternEuropean Countries. With their form of government gone, each countrymust work to find its own means of support of the people, and at the same time,unload the burdens presently found. in government expenses.¿ Some of the leaders of the Communities Partyquickly became involved in politics and some of them served their countrydiligently.¿ While others, tookadvantage of the fact that they could implement their own plan of action whiletheir country was struggling for a better form of government. The story of "Long Journey" gives a review of one ofthose countries during its struggle to survive.
