The homilies Dr. Windemiller preached at the Singing Church were each printed in leaflet form and put in a rack in the foyer of the chapel. They were also put on the Internet. A year ago someone suggested that some of the homilies be published as a book so that they could be given to friends and relatives as gifts. Getting to Heaven And Other Homilies was the result of that suggestion. Every preacher is different - thanks be to the Deity - and so the sermons in this book are the Gospel written and preached in different-and I hope illuminating-ways. I send it forth in the tremulous hope that the reading of them will bring just a smidgeon of the joy I received in writing them.
