Johnny reveals the role played by Hope's father, Charlie, in the bizarre execution of an circus elephant in 1929. Jack's Moustache: Flashbacks to the Korean War emanate from the back booth at Johnny's Place as Thomas Hope watches the events unfold in Panmunjom during the POW exchange. His friend Jack Kitch, listed as MIA, surfaces as one of the twenty-four American POW's that refuse re-patriation and are labeled turncoats.
