Lawrence On the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Marius Aura, a physician in the court of Herod Antipas, having been ordered to attend the corpses of the About victims of that day's executions mislaid and lost a surgical device known then and now as a cannula. The instrument had been playfully but surreptiously taken that day by a pair of young children who then brought it home to their father who prized and kept it as a secret family treasure.
