Upfront Musings: Christ and Culture on the Campus David Schroeder

FromJune 1993 through August 2005, I had the great privilege of serving as Nyack College'seleventh president. These dozen years were marked by many divineblessings: spiritual revival, enrollment growth, urban campus planting,facility enhancement, degree additions, diversity awards, integration ofcollege and seminary, and many more blessings. Duringthat time I began the discipline of writing a one-page (two sides) monthlypaper that I called Upfront. The name was chosen to indicate myintention to be as transparent and above board as possible with thereaders. Most of those articles, as well as convocation addresses andother timely messages are found in this book. They cover topics that show the interplay between Christ and culture,and particularly the world of the emerging X Generation.
