"Yo, Tyrania" is a raucous satire about an ancient civilization brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century. It's the comic flip side of "Animal Farm." The story is set in a remote Alpine principality ruled by a mischievous teen-age Queen Doreen, who commandeers a touring African American teacher to help modernize her backward land. The resulting culture clash reflects the fruits and dangers of building a young democracy in the Age of Telecommunication. Joined in the conflict are crazed peasants, a young scientist, a soothsayer, a calculating politician, giant Romanian puppets and a horde of visiting Amazons bent on world domination. Can Tyrania possibly survive?
