This is the fourth in the Crooner series. Morey Ames is a Chicago crooner. Sally is his wife, who also has her own restaurant. Unfortunately for Morey, she also has a penchant for solving crimes. In this latest book, Sally has this gut feeling that her best friend's new boyfriend is a con artist, and may be out to fleece all the customers in her place of business. Not wanting to confide in her friend, she sets out to gather information about his scheme. Once again Sally gets into some trouble, but attempts to come out unscathed.
