Scot Auble
A group of thugs commits a seemingly random act of extreme violence, partially thwarted by a passerby. They escape into a rural county in Eastern Washington State and their violence continues as they make their escape. The County Sheriff, an ex-FBI agent, knows something doesn%u2019t pass his sniff test, as he chases them. The thugs seem far more adept than typical and he asks, "What is this group from the east coast doing in his county?" only to be totally shut out by the Feds in his questions. Yet while the Feds will tell him nothing, they spring to help him. All the while the innocent bystander/passerby is drawn deeper into the conflict, which explodes into a wildly ambitious, yet simple plan to change the course of the country. Throughout, the weaknesses of those who are clearly troubled, as well as those who appear strong, are exposed, with both evil and faith tested to their limits.
