When an American gangster is found murdered in London under suspicious circumstances, Sir Reginald Crowe, British banker and friend of Mr. Jellipot, is accused of the crime. Brought before a coroner's court, he's on the virge of being arrested and indicted when another American is found killed under similar circumstances -- a crime that Sir Reginald could not have committed.
