John Buchan
John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir (1875-1940) was a Scottish novelist probably best known for The Thirty-Nine Steps and a Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada. "The Great Montrose" -- James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose (1612-1650) -- supported King Charles I in the English Civil War from 1644 to 1646 and again in 1650.
