Being home in Heaven feels wonderful to Pat Pat. She's greeted by her animal friends, Apache, the horse and Rocky, her little squirrel pal. Pat Pat is ready for some relaxation, but is quickly called to take on a new assignment from God. She is to go to West Heaven and assist the residents with a mystery. Seems that things are disappearing and they are quite shaken by this. Pat Pat is always eager to please God, so off she goes to get ready for her special assignment.

She takes along Apache and Rocky whom are both very eager to keep her company along her journey. As they travel to West Heaven Pat Pat gets to know her two best friends again and seeing the beautiful countryside of West Heaven brings back fond memories of a place Pat Pat feels she has seen many times before. She arrives at the home of Dick and Lottie Haymond where she gathers her first set of clues. Then it's off to Etta and Lewis Jones Church to see what they might have missing. While she is gathering her clues, she is keeping a close watch on one of her assistants who is acting a little strange. The three detectives decide to rest for the night along the river bank before going up the mountain to the farm of Zelda and Bernard Riley.

Will Pat Pat solve the mystery for the people of West Heaven? Will the residents be able to feel safe again? Pat Pat puts all her clues together to see where they might lead her. Has she been riding with the thief all along?
