In Daybreak a Romance of an Old World the main character goes to Mars where he finds a race superior to ours in body, mind and morals. Cowan describes the government, social life and religion of the Martians. Everyone is a Christian and this strong religious society is the basis for the book. Mars is a much older society than Earth, so there is the hope that after centuries we will also evolve into a more perfect civilization.
