142 true episodes from Czechoslovakia, Australia and Asia, with over 90 illustrations. The whole book is based on a simple paradox: The author came from family consisting of Communist Party members, some holding even high places in the political hierarchy. He grew up fully believing, and never questioning, the Communists doctrine imposed on the population after the WW II. He had a bright future, should he only adhere to the path lined-up for him. Then author left the country illegally, and after his return six years later, he was declared the enemy of the state. The secret police made sure that all his activities were limited in their access to information, and they imposed limits on his position and achievements in the society. From an ally of the Communist system he turned into foe, completely unintentionally and unknowingly.
