Vision and Shadows
Francis E M'boule
Vision and shadows is an essay, an overview. It describes the deadlocks, the gridlocks, equivocations and maneuvers of the overriding political thinking in the remote territories. Dirty intrigues and deviant practices fuel the relationships between the colonists and their former subjects, now their virtual successors to the head of the regal empire. The selected few indigenous called upon to replace the outgoing expatriates have hastily imposed forevermore debilitating and repressive system. The system is coupled with the most primitive obscurantism. Where these ?manchurian??brain-washed candidates, faithful successors of the civilized world masters in the uncivilized world freely feed and spread hundreds of frivolous ideas making believe that the world of, knowledge and technology will always remain inaccessible to immature communities.
