A Private Commentary on the Bible: Jonah

The book of Jonah is unique among the prophets in that we hear very little of the prophet?s message. Rather, the book is about God?s message to Jonah and Jonah?s response. Here is an Old Testament example of the parable of the sheep that has gone astray. Jonah remains unrepentant to the end, and one of the themes of the book is, ?Don?t be like Jonah.
