Grace Smith Richmond (1866-1959) was an American writer best known for the "Red Pepper Burns" series of popular novels about R. P. Burns, a kind country doctor who makes house calls whose fiery red hair and temper to match earned him the nickname Red Pepper. In her 1914 The Twenty-Fourth of June, Richmond writes about romance, mystery, and a deep love for home.
