Sneed Stewart is a native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She has been a resident of San Francisco, California, nearly all her life, having relocated there with her family when she was a small child. In her youth, she never aspired to be a writer. But her grandmother often recited poetry from memory and Stewart inherited this love of rhyme. In later years, home always contained a volume or two of poetic verse. Now Stewart picks up her pen whenever a memorable person or event inspires her. Educated at San Francisco State University, Stewart received both a BA and an MA degree. Now retired, she was an administrator at the US Postal Service. Stewart is a sports fan, enthusiastically rooting for her home team Forty-Niners, Giants, and Golden State Warriors. She is also a world traveler and a very involved member of her church. Her priorities in order are God, family, and everything else.
