Two flawed people find each other and a reason for hope on the trail of a half century old secret. Tom soon finds that he must run from a faceless threat in order to live. After surviving a late night brush with a watery death he meets Emily Larusso quite by chance. Through a series of strange circumstances they find that they are forced to travel together. Following the clues from the code they move across four states in search of the mysterious treasure that they must find in order to save their lives. The Key is a story of mystery, and adventure, but also of the basic human need for companionship, love, and the infinite ways in which people are destined to find each other.
