This 'tongue-in-cheek' novella is a true account, only the names have been changed. The story begins and ends with the boyfriend, Legion, or Leg for short. When he abandons Kara, she finds herself Legless and confined to his apartment, knowing that if the authorities discover her, she won't have a Leg to stand on.
