Publisher Marketing: Welcome to the new edition of Human Mage, the next book in the Highmage's Plight Series. The Demonlord seeks his death and all archeologist, George Bradley, wants is to get back to Earth through the ripple in reality that brought him here. As a DHR (data humanistic rapport) computer, I should not be worried, but on this world where elvin magic twisted the laws of science, I seem a bit too human for my crystalline circuits. George's big plan, infiltrate the Imperial Capital in the guise of a foreign merchant, sneaking into the Imperial Capital while the Demonlord's minions hunt elsewhere. That turns out to be the easy part. He must be accepted as a Human Mage by the Imperial Guild if he's any chance to get home. That means he must be challenged... There has never been a human mage. After all, apparently everyone here knows that humans cannot do magic because they have no souls. We are about to meet Mage Academy apprentices who have less than stellar reputations; and a street urchin, who attempts to steal from the wrong person. It will take a so called Human Mage to save them. Oh, George also will be accused of murder and will need my skills not just to prove his innocence but to solve the case. A shapechanging beast, lovely sword wielding bodyguards who think they have married him, lots of dwarves, spies, dark magery, the politics of the elvin court, and a young Empress in trouble... life as a computer alter-ego is getting way too complicated. Contributor Bio:  Aire, D H D. H. Aire has walked the ramparts of the Old City of Jerusalem and through an escape tunnel of a Crusader fortress that Richard the Lionheart once called home. He's toured archeological sites that were hundreds, if not thousands of years old... experiences that have found expression in his writing of his Highmage's Plight and Dare2Believe Series. For Terran Catalyst, Aire following the adage write what you know, drew on his experience learning about his ancestral heritage in creating his captain of the space freighter, Charlie B., who will find what he learns changes his understanding of everything he thought he knew about himself, his family, and - in his case - the galaxy. In addition Aire's seven current novels, his short stories appear in a number of anthologies, Flights of Fantasy, RealLies, Fear and Courage (August 2015), and will appear in How to Trick the Devil (Winter 2016).
